Hi, I'm Larson, the maker behind Cut It In Half. The brand name comes from a phrase I heard and I connected it to sewing, because cutting the fabric is always the first step. I first learned sewing in school but stopped for a long time when I didn't have a machine of my own. Years later, after a period of feeling disconnected from what I was doing, I bought a sewing machine and started again. It became a quiet way to make things with my hands again. I sew from a small corner of my home by the window. Every pouch is cut, quilted and sewn by me. I work slowly and in small batches because that's how I like to make things. Cut It In Half grew from that quiet practice. It's still a very small handmade brand and each collection is made in limited quantities.
